The FLEXITOL® tolerance compensation system is the economical solution for automatically readjusting the axial clearance at joints. Concept: The system consists of a compensating bushing A for compensating axial clearance, and a base body in the form of a rivet nut B with a double die for tightening and for compensating for tolerance. System: For the assembly of the rivet nut only one drill is needed. The thickness of the wall to be riveted (1) can be between 0.5 and 4mm. Riveting is carried out with standard devices with a left-hand threaded traction rod. After the rivet nut has been attached, the retrieval bush can be placed effortlessly either manually or with a dedicated tool. The system is now ready for use. Principle: Thanks to the grip of the screw on the retrieval bushing, the latter is pulled by the screw. As the compensation bushing is threaded into the rivet nut, it will be unscrewed by the drive of the screw that threads to the right. In contact with part 2, the bushing locks, then threading the screw into the lower part of the rivet nut, and can then give the set torque. The compensation zone is between 0 and 6 mm in standard embodiments but can vary depending on the case. By unscrewing the screw, the compensation bushing is dragged back to its initial position (without backlash compensation). Part 2 can be dismantled by unscrewing and possibly positioned at another height (included in the compensation area). This system can be dismantled as many times as desired. Advantages: - Few pieces (2), available dimensions and technical characteristics on the back. - Temperature resistance, all-metal part (up to 300ºC in standard configuration). - High corrosion resistance in stainless steel version. - They are also available in plastic - plastic and plastic - metal.
